My career did not begin in a corporate office or as a consultant. It started by helping individuals and businesses solve technology challenges involving computers, networks, and business systems.
Over time, I learned that technology alone does not transform organizations. Real results come from the right combination of people, processes, and technology.
That experience led me to build a career that now spans more than 20 years in Information Technology, ERP implementation, construction operations, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and digital transformation.
These experiences built the technical foundation that later helped me understand how technology impacts business operations and organizational growth.
I started as a Support Engineer and progressively advanced to Senior Implementation Consultant.
During this period, I participated in ERP implementation projects for construction and real estate companies, working directly with budgets, operational processes, and end users.
For the first time, I realized that the real challenge is rarely the software itself. Success depends on helping organizations adopt efficient processes and use information to make better business decisions.
This was the point where my expertise in technology and construction began to converge.
For more than a decade, I held IT leadership positions within construction and real estate organizations. During this period, I was no longer focused solely on software implementations. I experienced firsthand the operational and strategic challenges organizations face as they grow. This included responsibilities related to:
During this stage of my career, I assumed leadership responsibilities for technology infrastructure, communications, cloud services, cybersecurity, business continuity, and IT governance within a multi-site service organization.
This experience expanded my perspective beyond enterprise systems, strengthening my expertise in vendor management, business continuity, information security, technology operations, and the strategic alignment of IT with organizational objectives.
It was during this period that I developed a broader and more integrated view of technology, combining infrastructure, processes, security, and corporate governance.
After more than 20 years in Information Technology and over 30 ERP implementation projects, I decided to consolidate that experience into an independent consulting practice.
Today, I help organizations align technology, processes, and business objectives to improve operational performance, strengthen controls, and support sustainable growth.
Technology creates value only when it is aligned with business operations.
Effective cost control begins with clear processes and reliable data.
The goal is not to implement software. The goal is to achieve measurable business results.
User adoption is just as important as implementation.
Today, I bring together more than two decades of experience in Information Technology, construction, project administration, ERP systems, infrastructure, and cybersecurity to help organizations improve control, reduce risk, and make better business decisions.
My goal is not to sell technology. My goal is to help organizations build stronger processes, improve operational efficiency, and achieve better business outcomes.
All of this experience is available to help organizations operate with greater control, efficiency, and security through stronger processes and the right technology solutions.
Part of this professional journey was developed through SCI (Computer Systems & Information Technology), an initiative through which I provided independent IT support, infrastructure, and technology services for many years.
SCI was founded as a project focused on helping small and mid-sized businesses solve everyday technology challenges, ranging from technical support and networking to infrastructure, business continuity, and IT services.
Over time, the growing complexity of projects and the experience gained in construction, Neodata, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and digital transformation naturally evolved into what is now Aarón Hernández Consulting.
